I deleted Self-employment income and expenses and it deleted information for the business I had carried over from previous year. How can i restore it.

At this point you can't "restore" it.  You can only transfer information from the previous year's income tax return when you first start on this year's income tax return.

If I'd done this using "desktop" TurboTax, and I hadn't yet saved the file after the remove, I'd close the file, making sure I didn't "save" it, and then open the file when it was last saved.  That would leave the transferred information intact.  Maybe there's some similar process you can follow in the "online" version?

The same thing happened to me on TurboTax desktop. Absolutely terrible piece of confusing UI.  If I'm entering information for the *current year* and I select "delete" it shouldn't delete things from *previous years*, and certainly without warning me.

TurboTax Desktop file from the previous year may still be available on your personal computer hard drive.  You would have to pull the file and start over.

You may want to save different versions each day on your personal computer to protect yourself against data being lost again.
