I do I jump to a line on 1040. (e.g. directly enter a number on form 1040 from Schedule 1) OR go directly to schedule 1 to enter the number?

What line on schedule 1 do you need to enter? You have to enter it using the interview steps. Or do you have the Desktop program?

TurboTax reports income and expense through the interview process. What income are you wanting to report?

I wanted to report "other income" without having to classify the income as "business income" and avoid the Sch -C

Other Income is reported on Schedule 1 (then flows to Form 1040)

Schedule 1 is part of the return, so you wouldn't enter it directly on Form 1040.

Can you tell us what Box and what Form and the income is reported on?
