Question

I do not have K1 income. The last time I did was 2021. This year it just added it in there on it's own. How do I delete?

It seems like they are just trying to get me to upgrade to premium which I do not need.

You may be able to delete the K-1 schedule by following these directions:

1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar

2. Choose Tools

3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links

4. Look for the K-1 schedule in the list of forms and delete it

If that doesn't work, you will need to go into the Wages and Income area, look for Business Investment and Estate/Trust Income. Under that menu, you will find Schedule K-1. Click on that option and you should see the company associated with the errant schedule K-1 listed. You will see a delete option you can use to remove the entry from your tax return.

Under wages and income for the “business” it asks if I have any income. I answered no. It shows $0 income, but when I try to submit my return it comes back asking for a K1 even though I answered no.  If I go into review/edit business income there isn’t a way to delete that section away.  UNLESS I pay for the full “business” package that I don’t need.

Please clarify if you followed ThomasM125's instructions to delete Schedule K-1 from the forms in your return. Usually this will eliminate the SmartCheck form error.
