If you do not own or have never invested in a Qualified Opportunity Fund (QOF), you should answer "No" to the first question on Schedule' D, which asks, "Did you dispose of any investment(s) in a qualified opportunity fund during the tax year?"
Thanks for the reply. I am aware I have to answer the question if I disposed of QOF on scheduled D even though I never owned it. However, I nearly completed Turbo Tax Premier and I did not see this question for me to answer. I may have to abandon Turbo Tax if there is a good possibility that the IRS may reject my return for this reason.
