I have a business that I closed 3 years ago

I had a brick & mortar business that I closed the doors to 3 years ago. I do not do anything with the business license now. I have considered closing the business down altogether but it felt so final, so I have kept my business license (s-corp) but I have no income and I do nothing with it except pay the yearly annual report fee and sales tax fee to keep it "up to date".

Do I still have to file it with the IRS?

Thank you!

No, you don't need to file a tax return for a corporation that has no assets or income. However, you should file a final return and mark it "final" so the IRS will not be looking for future returns.
