I have an LLC that operated under a DBA. The DBA was a franchise. I sold the franchise but retained the LLC. Is this considered my final return?

Whether you should classify this as your final return depends on whether you plan to continue business operations (of a different kind) using the LLC.

If you do not plan to do any more business under the LLC, then you should file this as your final return.  If you do this, it would be a good idea to also dissolve the LLC in your state.

If you plan to resume some type of operations using the LLC, then you will not claim this as your final return.
