Did you actually create a new entity (S corporation) or did you make an election to have your LLC treated as an S corporation for federal income tax purposes?

If you created a new entity and want to close your LLC, you will need to file articles of dissolution with the state in which the articles of organization were filed. If this was a multi-member LLC filing as a partnership, then you will also have to file a final 1065.
