I have fringe amount in box 14 , when I put the w2 in with box 14 having fringe and then the amount a drop down box ask for a description for the item in box 14?

What should be chosen for box 14 amount for fringe, what to choose for description for that box?

If it is listed in Box 14, and it isn't a tax that you paid, you can choose "Other" for the description. 

 

Box 14 is mainly for your payroll department and usually has nothing to do with tax returns. 

 

In very few circumstances it reports a tax that can be deductible, but when that happens, the people that pay that uncommon tax are aware of it and understand how to report it. 

 

Since this is a non-taxable fringe benefit,  select "Other"
