Question

I need to submit form 8839 for FY2021. Can Turbo tax complete this for me?

I have custody of my 3 grandkids that have been included with my return , I received a letter from IRS requesting the form be submitted. I will be filing with them again for 2022 and 2023 and want to avoid this delay again. Help

Did you  formally adopt your grandchildren ???  Did you try to claim an adoption credit form 8839 on the return ??

 

Or are you looking at a list of possible missing forms and this is one you don't need to file ?

 

Read that notice again carefully ... what exactly are they asking for?
