Question

I only have 1099INT. Can I use Turbo Tax free edition?

As soon as I manually entered the totals of my Box1 Interest Income on my 1099-INT, Turbo Tax upgraded me to Deluxe from the Free Edition. I cannot seem to go back. Please help.

    Your tax return probably requires Schedule B, which is not available in the Free Edition.  Use Schedule B (Form 1040) if any of the following applies:

     

    • You had over $1,500 of taxable interest or ordinary dividends.
    • You received interest from a seller-financed mortgage and the buyer used the property as a personal residence.
    • You have accrued interest from a bond.
