I purchased beef cows this year and entered the amount for depreciation. How do I get it to show the amount on schedule F?

I'm doing 2017 income tax. I purchased breeding beef cows and want to depreciate the purchase amount of $6400. Schedule F, line 14 is showing "0" for depreciation. Why is it not showing the full depreciation amount of $6400?

If they are beef cows, enter the purchase price as an expense and not as a depreciable asset.   To do this in TurboTax please follow these steps:

  1. As you go through the interview for Schedule F, you will come to a screen, Enter Farming Expenses.
  2. You can enter the expense here.
