Question

I sell my jewelry in an artisan market. The owner charges 20% commission on the sale of my items. Can I include that 20% as commission expenses on my tax return?

For example, a bracelet that a costs $20, results in the owner keeping $4 as commission and I receive $16. Can I count that $4 as commission expense?

Yes, you can include the $4 per sold item as a commission. Enter the sale price of each bracelet as $20 in income, and then the commission as an expense.
