I used a first car half the year for business traded in for new car but I am only getting a tiny deduction on the miles driven for first car. Should be 13k is $344

When I review the first car info after I get to the standard deduction page 13k it kicks it out reduces it back to $344.

  • Be sure to include the dates of service for both vehicles.
  • Check your entries for miles that business mileage is in the correct line
  • If you sold the prior vehicle, then the proceeds should be reported, as well
