Question

I’ve never been self employed or owned a business why is it asking me to fill out a schedule c?

If you received income reported on a 1099-NEC or a 1099-Misc, it may be considered 'self-employment' income.

I did not receive a 1099 just my W-2 I think the reason it is asking is because my employer put me down as a statutory employee but I was just a regular employee I never had a stake or anything in the company.

Can I leave the Statutory part off will it affect  their taxes or mine if I leave it blank?
