If no link to Schedule C is present, you may need to delete the IRS form 1099-K and start over.

You are able to remove the form by:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Tax Tools.
  • Click on Tools.
  • Click on Delete a form.
  • Find the form listed and click Delete to the right.

When entering an IRS form 1099-K, you are allowed to select Self-employment income as an option at this screen.

At the screen Your self-employment 1099-K income, you name the self-employment activity.  Click Continue.

At the screen Your 1099-K summary, click Done.

At the screen Wages and Income, click Review / Edit to the right of Self-employment income and expenses.

At the screen Your 2022 self-employed work summary, click Review to the right of your new self-employment activity.

Now you will answer questions that establish your self-employment activity.

Self-employment income will be reported:

  • on Schedule C of the Federal 1040 tax return, and
  • on Schedule SE of the Federal 1040 tax return, and
  • on line 3 of Schedule 1 of the Federal 1040 tax return, and
  • on line 8 of the Federal 1040 tax return.
