What is the simplest way to file tax for an inactive single member LLC?

A single-member LLC is treated as a disregarded entity (i.e., as a sole proprietorship that reports income/expenses on Schedule C).

If you have neither income nor expenses, you do not need to file a Schedule C with your 1040.

Note that you may have to file an annual report (and pay a fee) to the state in which your LLC was organized.
