K-1 for family trust

My brother in law told us that the family trust was closed in 2020.  The K-1 we received was not marked as final in 2020. Do I have to have a form marked final?

    Yes, the K-1 should be marked final if it was the last K-1 you were to receive or the 1041 was marked as the final 1041.

     

    You might want to contact your brother-in-law and inquire.
