I transferred my data from 2021's Turbo Tax .pdf file and NONE of my previous years depreciation transferred over to Turbo Tax 2022. I've searched for .tax2021 file in ALL my drives and can't find it or any other previous TT tax files. Only the .pdfs. If I have to do it how do I manually enter the previous years depreciation?

The previous year's Depreciation and Amortization Report will give you the information that you need to enter the asset into your self-employment activity or rental activity.

Enter the asset into your self-employment activity or rental activity.

In TurboTax CD/Download Home and Business,

  • Click on Business across the top of the screen.  Click Continue.
  • Click I'll choose what I want to work on.
  • Scroll down to Rental Properties (or Profit and Loss from Business).  Click Start / Update to the right.
  • Do you want to review your rental information, click Yes.
  • Click Edit to the right of the rental (self-employment) activity.
  • Click Start / Update to the right of Assets / Depreciation.
  • At the screen Your Property Assets, select Add an Asset.
  • Enter the information from the Depreciation and Amortization Report.
