My state return is telling me I have a schedule E form, but when I review my federal form there is no schedule e?

We need you to expand on and clarify your question.  Without knowing the state you are referring to we cannot accurately assist you with your question.  While most states follow the Federal track and Schedule E is for Rentals, Partnership income or loss, S Corporation income or loss, and Estate/Trust income or deduction, there are states that include other items that they want on their particular state Schedule E.  

 

If you have any of the non-rental items listed above that is why your state information is requesting the Schedule E entries.  If not you can check with your State Department of Revenue or Taxation and look at/download your State Schedule E to see if there is any other information they are requesting.
