Per Diem Rates for Meals?

I'm a sports official and get a 1099-NEC.  There is no such thing as a home office for me.  When I travel to games, sometimes I drive a few hours, and come back home the same night, while other times I drive and stay in a hotel two nights and work games on two days.  The league I work for does not pay or reimburse me for meals in any way, nor do they give me a "per diem."  Can I use the "per diem" rates from the GSA to claim my meals, even though I do not receive a per diem?

Yes, you can deduct the per diem rate. It goes in the Meals & Entertainment area of your business expenses

Prior to 2021, the IRS allowed an 80% deduction, however, temporarily for 2021 and 2022, the Federal Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (FCAA), passed on December 27th, 2020, allows a 100% deduction on Per Diem.
