I entered the incorrect information on 2b and even though I changed it it still shows the original

For unknown reasons, the 1099-R data entry section has been problematic for years. If you enter incorrect data and then go back and correct it, things seem to never work out right.

The only proven solution is to delete the 1099-R entirely, and then re-enter it anew assuring you enter it with absolute perfection the first time.
