Remote Work

I currently live in Texas at my parents house. My significant other is moving to California and I’d like to go with him. Since I work remotely (based out of Florida) can I still file taxes in Texas? If so if we were to get married can I still say my permanent address is Texas?

Neither Texas nor Florida have a personal income tax so neither have a state income tax return to be filed.

If you move to California you will have to file a California state income tax return for all income received while living and working in CA.

When/if you begin to live and work in CA you will be subject to state of CA income tax.   You are asking us if you can lie and say you live in TX after moving to CA.   Sorry,  that would be tax fraud.
