No, you do not have to file on April 15. 

 

The filing deadline has extended to July 15, 2020.

The filing deadline for a personal 1040 tax return for the 2019 tax filing season has been extended to July 15, 2020. You can e-file any time you want before that date. The sooner you file, the sooner you get any refund you may be due.
