Schedule H line 9

In the review, TT wants a blank in the "Yes" checkbox for line 9 on Schedule H. I paid over $1,000 in 2023 during two quarters to one household employee and the "Yes" box should be checked. When attempting to E-file I am prevented by another review of the line 9 problem. I am dead in the water and can't E-file my return.

It depends. The Schedule H requires Part II to be completed when you check the box. Make sure you completed that section once you answered yes to line 9. It's important to complete your state information as well.

Be sure to contact your state department for employer rules in relationship to the unemployment tax.

Total paid wages before you are required to pay unemployment tax?
