Question

Section 179 carryover from 2019 report did not show up on the 2020 tax return. Why is this a problem?

although the 179 carryover on the 2019 federal carryover worksheet was listed the amount was not shown on the 2020 carryover worksheet.  why is  would this not carryover to 2020?

    Yes, if you have a 179 carryover remaining from 2019, click this link for info on How to Enter a 179 Carryover in your 2020 return.

     

    This would show on your Schedule C Worksheet, in the Carryovers to 2020 Section (screenshot).
