Sole-proprietor overpayment

I have been working as a sole-proprietor for the first time this year, and I've been paying my quarterly taxes. However, it looks like I may earn less than I had estimated. Should I skip the fall quarterly payment, or just go ahead and make a small payment and look forward to a big reimbursement when I do my annual taxes at the end of the year?

You can refigure your total estimated tax payments due, then figure the payment due for each remaining payment period. If there is no payment due for fourth qtr. you can skip it and you will get refund when you file tax return next year if you are eligible.
