States I need to send out tax forms, but I have no employees

I need to change that I paid someone over $600 to contract work. telling me I need to send my employees tax forms. I have no employees though

If you paid someone 600 or more for the year you need to give t hem a 1099NEC for contract labor. Did you do that? Employees would get a W2. You can prepare the 1099NEC in Turbo Tax using Quick Employer Forms since you have the Self Employed version.

For Online Self Employed version,

Log into your account

Scroll down to Your Account and click on Show

Click on Create W-2s and 1099s

In your return, Anywhere on any screen you see....

Click on it and the side box will open, Then click on Quick Employer Formsin the side box.
