Only way to tell is prepare a tax return.   When you are self-employed you have to pay self-employment tax for Social Security and Medicare.  And we have no idea if you had any other kind of income from which tax was withheld.

If you use online TT you need the expensive Premium version.  You might want to try using a different free software.

Use this IRS site for other ways to file for free.  There are 8  free software versions available from the IRS Free File site

Or—if you live in certain states you may be eligible to use the new IRS Direct File

In Filing Season 2025, Direct File will be available in Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

IF you only made $1,849 and you drove 5,000 miles, as long as you have records of your mileage, your mileage deduction would be $3,350.

Was that mileage 100% for Door Dash or was it personal miles too.  If it was personal miles as well, you cannot deduct those miles only the ones you drove for delivery purposes.

So if those miles were ALL 100% for Door Dash and that was your ONLY income, then no, you would not have any business income.  You would have a loss on your return for Door Dash.
