Vacations and Dogs: are they a write off?

If you are self employed or own your business you can deduct work related expenses while conducting business. If you have merged business and pleasure on vacation you need to be able to show what percentage was business. So the key is to keep business seperate.

Dogs can be a write off if they meet certain criteria such  are they a service dog or they contribute to the business. If so you can write off such expenses as vet bills, food, training which are some examples. https://blog.turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/can-i-claim-my-pet-as-a-dependent-53/
