W2's & a Business

My husband and I both have W2's (both work full time) we also have a business on the side as well. TurboTax is giving me the feeling that I should file everything together instead of keeping the W2's and business separated. Please advise

ALL of your income goes on the same tax return unless your business is a Ccorps, SCorps or multi-member LLC. If one of you is a sole proprietor, it all goes on the same return---W-2's and self-employment income. You need to use online Self-Employed or any version of the CD/download so that you can prepare a Schedule C for the business expenses.

We advise you not to file everything together instead of keeping the W-2 and the business separated. TurboTax Online Self-Employed or TurboTax Home & Business handles both W-2 forms and self-employed income.
