Most taxpayers don't need to do anything to receive their checks.  If you filed a tax return in 2018 or 2019 and received a refund via direct deposit, then your payment will be sent to the same bank account the IRS already has on file.  

 

 

The best way to find out what is happening for your individual case is to check with the IRS using this tool: IRS Get My Payment. 

 

If no information is available in your case, please check back tomorrow as new data is being updated continuously, and most IRS systems update during the overnight hours.
