Question

What do I do if my state requires a Schedule C to confirm income to file for unemployment and I file a 1065 for a joint LLC pass through?

Husband and wife partners in LLC pass through. We file 1065 and profit is passed through and we file joint 1040. Need to document income for unemployment office and they require a Schedule C.

You don't have a schedule C and can't have one.  An LLC with more than one member must file a 1065 (except sometimes in a community property state where the only two members are spouses, each spouse can file a schedule C for half the income and expenses.)

It sounds like the state should be looking for your 1065 and your K-1s.  You may need to contact a supervisor with more experience.

If you file a partnership return the state CANNOT require you to produce an illegal form ... I think you need to review the application again as many of the parts will not pertain to you.  I agree with asking for assistance in filling out that form.
