Your net operating loss is reported on Form 1040, Schedule 1, as a negative figure under "Other Income" according to IRS Publication 536 at this link.

 

Click the "magnifying glass Search" icon on the top row, enter "nol" in the search window and press return or enter, and then click on the "Jump to nol" link to begin entry of any NOL carryover.

 

Note that The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) eliminated the option for most taxpayers to carry back a net operating loss (NOL). Most taxpayers can only carry NOLs arising from tax years ending after 2017 to a later year.  If your NOL was for 2018 or 2019, you no longer use Form 1045 to carry back the NOL.
