Question

What is wrong If I enter my NOL from 2023, and TurboTax shows it on my review as an addition to my income, not a loss?

    When entering your 2023 NOL into the 2024 program, make sure you enter the number as a positive number.  

     

    To go back to your input, log back into TurboTax, select the Business tab, and scroll down to the section titled Less Common Business Situations.

     

    Select update to the right of Net Operating Loss/QBI Carryforward Loss.  

    Enter your NOL as a positive number on the screen titled "2023 Net Operating Loss."
