Yearly. Personal utility expense is not deductible. If you are self-employed and have a home office, you can deduct the business portion of your utilities as part of the Home Office Deduction on Schedule C. If you have an office outside of your home, the expenses are deducted on Schedule C as utility expenses.
If the expenses are for a rental property, they get deducted on Schedule E - in the Rental Properties section of TurboTax.
