To report your self employment expenses:

  1. Select Federal from the left menu.
  2. Go to Wages and Income then select Income and Expenses.
  3. Go to Self-employment income and expenses and click Review
  4. Select review next to your line of work.
  5. Scroll down to the expenses section and select Add Expenses for this work.
  6. Click the drop down arrow next to Less Common and select Contract Labor
