Which Turbo Tax product to purchase for my situation.

If I have an LLC but no business income or expenses to report, do I still need the Home & Business product? I haven't run anything through my LLC in a couple of years. I used the Home & Business edition last year and it seemed unnecessary.

If you are using the desktop version, you can use any version; they will all allow a Schedule C. You get more guidance with the higher level versions.

For TurboTax Online, you will need Premium if you want to report business expenses on Schedule C. You can use Deluxe or possibly the Free edition if you don't have any business income or expenses.

If your LLC is a single-member LLC, you only need one product:
- a personal edition, TurboTax Premium if using TurboTax Online.
If your LLC is a multi-member LLC, you will need 2 products:
- the business product, TurboTax Business AND
- a personal edition, TurboTax Premium if using TurboTax Online.
