Question

Why am i being asked again to put 0 in the form 889-T Line 12 wks, Line B? My entry has 0 and it keeps coming back to this.

Line 12 B is the amount of excess HSA contribution that was withdrawn before the end of the year. The program is trying to get you to address whether or not you have an excess HSA contribution.

 

This is how to review the section and correct the issue:

 

 

  1. Open you return and select Federal.
  2. Select Deductions & Credits.
  3. Scroll down or expand the list to find Medical and expand the section.
  4. Click Start to the right of HSA, MSA Contributions.
  5. Answer all of the questions about your HSA.
  6. Continue through the screens until you get back to the Deduction summary.
