Why two SSA-1099s forms for same person with different amounts in Box 5 but different SS numbers in Box 8?
Box 8 on one form has my spouse's SS number and a B behind it; and on the other form in Box 8 it has my SS number with an A behind it.
Go by the Social Security number in box 2. Are they the same? If they are for the same person then add the boxes together and enter the total under that ssn.
