Can some tell me why I was charged for my state return when it was included in my software purchase?

I don't have any answers, but after 2 hour+ phone calls, 3 call backs where no one was there and finally just paying for the state per the advice of the support person (who did all she could), I have the same question and will be looking for a reimbursement.....

how much did you pay for TT? Online or Desktop version? and if desktop, where did you purchase it?

Some version of TT are sold without a state return.

Separately, there is a charge to efile a state return. that is NEVER included in the purchase price

In the Desktop program Deluxe and above

You get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is 19.99 to efile, usually goes up to 24.99 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.
