Assuming you are current with all your payments, then it’s theoretically doesn’t matter. Your credit score is based on how much of your available credit you are using, so paying off any balance reduces the amount of your available credit that you are using.
If any of your credit cards are behind or late, certainly pay them first.
It is more psychologically satisfying to pay off an account then to make partial payments, so it is sometimes recommended to pay the smallest account first because it will be faster to fully pay off.
As long as you are not in danger of over borrowing again, don’t close the account once you have paid it off. Leaving it open and not using it will help your score further.
