Question

Claiming medical expenses in Canada. It says i need more than $703.61 (3%). My expenses are $8331.74, so why no credit or benefit?

    The medical expense tax credit is a non-refundable tax credit that you can use to reduce the tax that you may have to pay. It can't generate or increase a refund.

     

    If you can’t use your medical expenses this year, you may be able to use them next year.
