I filed my taxes late for 2021 and due to this I did not receive gst credit. After filing my taxes will I receive the gst credit right away or on my next gst pay cycle in April? If right away, how long is the processing time?

After you file your tax return, you will get a letter from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) that lets you know how much GST/HST credit you will receive and when you will receive it.

You will receive backdated amount for your GST credits a few weeks later. I did my sister-in-laws taxes for 2020 and 2021 in August, and she received her backdated GST credits in September.
