TurboTax automatically claims this amount for you if you are eligible.

For the current tax year the age amount is $8,396.

If you immigrated to or emigrated from Canada during the tax year, your claim is prorated for the time you were a resident of Canada. For details, see Newcomers to Canada.

I am eleigible for the Age Amount. My birth date is Nov 06 1955, and I have entered this correctly as 06/11/1955 in my Personal information in TurboTax.

TurboTax is not giving me the age amount on T1 Line 30100. Why is this?

@1955trevor Is the amount from line 23600 of your return $98,309 or more? The age amount is reduced to zero at that point.
