Question

I donated $5800 but my line 34900 shows $1880 - is that correct?

Not sure if the amount I donated should be equivalent to the amount in line 34900

    Hi @ckle 
    Thanks for your question. Depending on how you made your donation, there are two places to check for donations:
    1) If you make donations through your employer or pension, you will need to check your income tax slips; T4, T4A, T3, T5013 slips; or partnership financial statements.
    2) if you have a donation slip sent directly from a charity you will need to manually enter these under the "Charitable Donations" section

    Your total charitable donations will be available on your summary before your file.
