Is debt consolidation a good credit repair method? If so, what are some credible firm options for this?

No, you end up paying the debt consolidation company unnecessary fees. You're better off focusing on paying off 1 account at a time. Pick the account with the largest balance & make as large of payments as you can to pay it off quickly while making the minimum payments on everything else. Once that account is paid off, move to the next highest balance and do the same thing. By paying off the largest balances first, you're saving on interest as well.
