!099-Q negative number issue

I am trying to enter 1099-Q from College Illinois to federal tax return. The box 2 earning is in parenthesis which I understand is negative numbers. The sum of Box 1 and Box 3 is true only when Box 2 figure is negative. The turbotax 2023 Premier will not let me enter the negative sign before the numbers in box 2 and wont let me proceed. Please help. Thanks

You may have something odd happening. You should be able to enter it. Follow these steps:

Desktop version:

Delete the form
Save your return while closing the program.
Update the program
Open
Enter the information again.

Online version:

A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

For stuck information follow these steps:

Delete the form/ worksheet- if possible, see How to Delete
Log out of your return and try one or more of the following:
- Don't use Internet Explorer.
- Clear cache and cookies,
- Sign in using a different browser.
- Sign in using a different device.
Log back into your return.
- Enter the information again.
