Question

1095A and 1095C half and half

I used the marketplace insurance for half a year while I was in college and received a 1095A pertaining Jan-Jun 2022. That's when I started using the coverage from my employer and then I received a 1095C showing coverage from July-December. Because we can't enter the 1095C anymore it brings down my return significantly but I can't indicate I did have coverage for the full year anywhere. Is it that what's telling me is correct? or is there a place I have to indicate I had coverage for the full year to avoid paying now back to the IRS?

There is no longer any penalty for not having insurance.

Your return is probably going down because you received a health insurance subsidy while you were in college and were covered by a Marketplace plan. When you take out Marketplace coverage, you must estimate your income for the year. Your subsidy amount is based on that estimate.

After you graduated, you probably made a lot more than you listed on your estimate, so you are paying back the subsidy.
