I filed my taxes in February and today received 1099-R but two months after my taxes already filed. Box 2a shows $0 taxable and Box #7 Distribution Code G. Frustrating they mailed this so late. Do I need to file amended taxes?
No. Code G is a direct transfer and not taxable. Be sure to keep the 1099R with your tax return if the IRS ever asks about it.
