Hi, I teleworked in 2023. What can i deduct as far as internet, office space, utilities, etc.? thanks!

If you are an employee who receives a W-2 to report your income on a tax return, then none of your employee business expenses are deductible on a federal tax return due to the tax code changes in effect for tax years 2018 thru 2025.

I believe that the following states allow a deduction for employee business expenses on the state tax return, even though the federal tax return does not allow it.

Alabama, Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania
